Pierre Mortier

Mortier was a map publisher of Amsterdam, who worked in Connection with Jaillot, publishing atlases, maps and charts by Sanson, de Fer and De Wit amoungst others.

After Mortier's death in 1711 his son, Corneille, inherited the business and in partnership with Jean Covens, continued to publish as Covens and Mortier - important as they were prolific reprinters of great maps.
