Not much is known about Porcacchi except that from 1572 he published - L'isole piv famose del mondo

This workcontaining a series of superbly engraved miniature maps of islands and continents. With their finely designed cartouches, sea monsters and ships, they resemble larger maps reduced in size. Maps from this work are scarce.
